With over twenty years of experience, I have gained extensive knowledge in intensive psychotherapy and an in-depth understanding of clinical programming in community mental health clinics. I began as a caseworker in an alternative substance abuse treatment program for mothers with young children. Then, I obtained my master's degree in social work and began my career as a therapist and supervisor at Gateway Youthcare Foundation, a residential program specializing in adolescent addiction treatment. My journey continued at the Juvenile Protective Association (JPA), where I provided intensive psychodynamic psychotherapy services to students and their families in a Chicago Public School.

As a clinical director at a community mental health clinic for 14 years, until May 2024, I supervised a team of mental health professionals specializing in child, adolescent, and adult outpatient treatment, providing supervision focused on helping early-career social workers/counselors develop a foundation in psychodynamic, developmental, and attachment-based theories.

To further my development in adult treatment, I enrolled at the Chicago Center for Psychoanalysis in the candidate program.  Both programs entail intensive coursework, depth supervision, and personal growth.  Together, these experiences have informed my practice in psychoanalytic therapy.
